Introduction to Visual Basic

The Visual Basic programming language was first released back in 1991 by Microsoft, however, major changes were made to it in 2002, when the .Net framework was introduced, turning it in to an Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) language. From 2002 it was known as Visual Basic.Net, or VB.Net for short, although three years later, in 2005, the name reverted back to just Visual Basic. It can be used for Windows based applications, web-based applications and more.
