Crystal Reports

Crystal ReportsCrystal Reports was first released back in 1991, when the Cunningham Group couldn’t find suitable reporting software to accompany their accounting system, so they wrote their own under the company name of Crystal Services Inc. After a number of acquisitions over the years, the software is now owned and developed by SAP.

Crystal Reports can connect to numerous data sources, including databases, spreadsheets, text files and XML files, which can be used to produced reports that are available offline or online, from applications, portals or mobile devices. Databases such as PostgreSQL, Sybase, IBM DB2, Ingres, Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Interbase, Btrieve, Informix and Oracle can be used with Crystal Reports.
