Erik Mongrain
Erik Mongrain, born in Montreal, Canada, is a composer and self-taught guitarist, who started playing at the age of 14. His early influences included Metallica, Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain, however, it was the influences of Don Ross and Michael Hedges that lead him towards his current style of playing.
Erik is said to be a master of various different styles and playing techniques. As with many musicians today, he has gained popularity through posting videos on YouTube, with one of his earliest, AirTap, gaining over six and a half million views.
