Cyber Security Overview
Cyber Security refers to the protection of digital information, as well as the computer systems themselves, through the use of different technologies, processes and practices, from attack, damage or unauthorised access.
Digital information incorporates anything that is stored electronically on a computer system, from social media profiles to databases of information that form part of a piece of software, as well as electronic documents relating to an organisation or individual.
From a systems point of view, Cyber Security covers software and computer hardware, as well as network hardware and servers.
